Business meetings are held the 1st Thursday each month at 7:30 p.m. while the 3rd Thursday is normally reserved for a social gathering, at 7:30 p.m. (see monthly calendar for specifics).
Our council hosts a large number of council activities throughout the year.
Weekly activities include Coffee & Doughnuts after 9:00 and 11:00 Masses on Sunday Mornings in the lower level of Christ the King Church.
Monthly activities: Corporate communion (months with five Sundays), Pastie fund raiser during the winter months. The council also sponsors the first Friday Mass held the first Friday of each month at 7:00 p.m.
Annual activities include: Annual MR Drive; Fish bake during Lent; Sponsor of annual parish picnic; New Years' Eve Party; Annual Basketball game against the Youth Group; Keep Christ in Christmas Campaign. The Council contributes to various charitable organizations including Boysville, Right to Life, Morality in the media. Additional activities include supporting the annual Mother and Daughter Tea party, and participating in the Annual Inter-Council Golf outing.
Christ the King Council #9979 sponsors Boy Scouts of America, Scenic trails council Troop 31, Partial sponsorship of Youth Group, Community Service and Church activities as called upon by our Pastor.
